Phil 'Source' Aslett - Old School Source Direct Mix

Source Direct originated back in 1992 as Sounds of Life when Phil was 16. Sounds of Life were originally engineered by Rupert Parkes now known as the legendary Photek.

Phil then went on to record tracks for his own imprint Source Direct in 1994-1999, famous for big tunes like "Snake Style" and "The Crane".

Some months and requests later I finally did my job: I've uploaded the BBC Radio One Show by Dâm Funk! 

Benji B invited Dâm Funk to his BBC Radio One studio to do a 3 hour show around his latest album. 

In the first part Dam Funk breaks down his 5 LP debut album, explains why funk doesn’t stop at ‘Funky Drummer’ and tells us about his session work with gangsta rappers such as Mack 10 and MC Eiht.

In part 2, he takes over presenting duties, freestyles vocals and delivers an incredible mix of rare funk and boogie. A must listen for everyone in the funkosphere and beyond!
